IOberammergau: The idyllic village lies in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, embedded in the dreamlike Ammergauer Alps, in one of the most beautiful pre-alpine landscapes: the Ammertal. The world-famous Linderhof Palace of King Ludwig II, as well as Ettal Abbey, are just a few kilometers away. The Bavarian state capital Munich can be reached via a good motorway connection in less than an hour. Oberammergau is connected to a good transport network - so you can reach your desired destination by bus and train everywhere and almost every day and night. Due to the far-reaching stops within the village, the bus line also acts as a local bus. The community is famous for the Passionsspiele (lastly in 2010), the wooden carvings (so-called "Herrgottschnitzer") and the houses adorned with lumbar paintings. The Pilatushaus, Dedlerhaus and the Forstamt are particularly worth mentioning. In the center of Oberammergau you will find numerous restaurants, cafés and shops with some local specialties. Here are no wishes left. In Oberammergau, traditions and traditions are still alive. Among the highlights are the traditional "Sternrundgang" on New Year's Eve and the King Ludwig Fire in honor of the fairy-tale kings. The special thing about this place is that it is worth a trip at any time of the year. In winter, it scores with its ski lifts, cross-country ski runs and numerous other offers, for example guided torch hikes, snowshoe hikes and much more. In the summer, the fascinating nature, with the strong colors, invites you to go hiking, cycling and mountain biking. The "Wellenberg" bathing center is open both in winter and in summer and is always worth a visit. In the heart of this wonderful village lies our holiday house Hotel Fux. The new building, completed in 1999, has ten individually and very tastefully furnished rooms with separate WC / shower, digital satellite TV (including many international programs) and some of them have a balcony. With its six apartments it is also suitable for families. The certified 3-star hotel convinces by the absolutely central but still quiet location.
